I have to say….if I had a nickel for every time that I had my birthday celebrated early but that day marked a dark turning point for America, I would have two nickels. Not a lot but surreal in it happening twice in my lifetime.

It’s true that crime is statistically lower and that the talk of crime waves is just bullshit but voters don’t look at stats. They look at personal experiences and even worse at apps that amplify local crime alerts. Social media also plays a part in using algorithms that reinforces this narrative.
