Also, looking like Frank has decided that Gray is a 6 and will rotate with Palhinha.

Hopefully we see a highly motivated Johnson that senses he “could” be short of minutes this season.

I think the bigger factor is you get the whole spectrum of performances from him. We remember his first 10 Spurs games when he looked like a top 10 midfielder, the best player on the field. So we know what he’s capable of.

@profspur.bsky.social hopefully Frank can figure out his best position and make the right decisions to develop him in that position this year. Seems like a loan would make sense, because as of right now he looks on track to fill in at multiple positions again.

It's certainly a conundrum. On one hand -18 yr old starts in the Prem at CB for half a season, playing out of position. Sounds impressive but we drifted to the bottom of the league in that time. On one hand - really impressive that he can do a job in 3-4 positions, but doesn't excel at any of them.

Hey Windy, where are you seeing this???
July 12, 2025 at 5:07 PM
everyone wants something to talk about, it's pathetic really. The English EPL media loves to create and drive narratives, stir everyone up and then act like it came out of nowhere. Even the more reputable English media members do it.

How is he dangling him? The season ended less than 24 hours ago, and he probably deserved to lose his job prior to Europa final. This is a very complicated situation. Is the right long-term guy available? Maybe you roll with it for 1 more season and then Pochettino is available as a backup plan.

19 year old Bergvall does a lot of similar things to be honest. A tank, hard to dispossess and can dribble. Remember, Dembele didn’t even come to Tottenham until mid 20’s.

That’s not close to our full injured list.

Getting a little nervous about this upcoming summer - suddenly we seem fragile in a lot of areas. We have to find at least 2 impact starters (RW and a midfielder). Hopefully Romero stays and we don’t need 3!

Kinsky also spotted Villa a 1-0 lead, that dictated the entire game.

This whole broadcast has been “how terrible is Tottenham”. WTF.
February 9, 2025 at 6:16 PM
Porro was MIA but that shot should have been a non-issue.
February 9, 2025 at 5:46 PM
Haven't seen anything that would indicate Cardoso is an upgrade on any of our options for a 6, or any of our current midfielders at all. Unfortunately...

Spence showed up for sure. Turning it to a leader also. Whatever happened before this year, happy that he has seemingly secured a PL career

Midfield was brutal today. Had no chance because of it

Midfield was terrible. Didn’t have a chance
February 6, 2025 at 9:54 PM
Sounds like they tried. But for now we have VDV-Gray as starters with Davies-Danso as cover. Hopefully Romero soon. With the emergence of Gray and the Danso signing it’s not as dire as it was a few weeks ago.

As an American, this feels like a UK football media thing. They love a f’n narrative. Same narrative, every week. Once it starts they can’t stop themselves.

Kulu was a little loose in possession in the first half but love how much he solidifies the midfield. Kulu+Bergvall is 2/3 of a high quality trio for the long term. Replacing with an impact RW would REALLY set this team up well.

Fantastic summary - you are the man

One of my absolute favorite albums for sure. Best of the 2000’s over Kid A and In Rainbows is a tough one!

Marino is paid millions of dollars to play defense like that?
