Today has been quite a month.
NEWS: Judge Amir Ali finds that the Trump administration is likely violating separation of powers in partially granting a preliminary injunction in the State Department/USAID foreign aid case. As with the TRO, he also finds the government is likely violating the APA with the non-payment issues.

Exactly. This is the clearest example in my entire life of the famous principle: I may hate everything this man says, but I will absolutely defend his right to say it—and even if he would not do the same for me.

This is why I am alarmed by his detention and deportation, though I vehemently disagree with much of what he says about Israel and Gaza.

Update on my life: Last year, I joined my kids' school's PTA, because they needed a treasurer and I'm good enough with numbers. It was a straightforward, self-contained job: balancing the checkbook for an organization that only did a few fundraisers each year.
