The Digital ID scheme is costly, unclear and intrusive - and Plaid Cymru opposes the proposal to introduce this scheme.

I spoke in Westminster Hall yesterday to raise my constituents’ concerns about #digitalid

ID Digidol

Mae’r cynllun ID Digidol yn gostus, aneglur ac yn amhoblogaidd - mae Plaid Cymru’n gwrthwynebu’r cynnig i gyflwyno’r cynllun hwn.

Siaradais yn Neuadd Westminster ddoe i godi eich pryderon am ID Digidol. Gwrandewch ar yr araith 👇

Welsh language rights should be equal to English in all public sector settings in Wales.

In yesterday’s Welsh Affairs Committee, we had the opportunity to discuss the Welsh Language Commissioners’ concerns about the rights of the Welsh language in prisons. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Dylid hawliau’r Gymraeg fod yn gyfartal â’r Saesneg ym mhob sector cyhoeddus yng Nghymru.

Fel Pwyllgor Materion Cymreig ddoe, cawsom gyfle i drafod pryderon Comisiynydd y Gymraeg am hawliau’r Gymraeg mewn carchardai. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Tydy Llywodraeth y DU heb gynnal asesiad o effaith newidiadau treth etifeddiaeth ar Gymru. Felly neithiwr, pleidleisiais yn erbyn treth barhaol Llafu ar ffermydd teuluol.

Mae parhau heb gynnal asesiad o’r effaith ar ein cymunedau yn annerbyniol.

The UK Government has not conducted an assessment of the impact of inheritance tax changes on Wales. So last night, I voted against Labour’s continued family farm tax.

Pushing ahead without knowing the impact on our communities is not acceptable.

Gwych gweld dros 100,000 o bobl yn amddiffyn ein democratiaeth, ac y canrannau uchaf o Gymru💪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Yn sgil carcharu cyn-arweinydd Reform yng Nghymru am dderbyn llwgrwobrwyon, mae’n hollbwysig bod ymchwiliad trylwyr yn digwydd.

Great to see over 100,000 people defending our democracy, with the highest percentages in Wales 💪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Following the imprisonment of a former Reform leader in Wales for accepting bribes, it’s vital that a thorough investigation into Russian influence on UK politics now takes place

Wales is a net exporter of energy - yet people here still pay some of the highest energy bills in the UK.

Today’s Budget changes none of that.

We deserve fairness, and control over our own resources.

The majority of communities on Ynys Môn will lose out on UK Government funding, with the ‘Pride in Place’ scheme designed for neighbourhoods of around 10,000 people.

Our rural communities, that are in desperate need of investment, are once again being forgotten by Labour.

Ni fydd y rhan fwyaf o gymunedau ar Ynys Môn yn gymwys am gyllid gan Lywodraeth y DU gan bod y cynllun ‘Balchder Bro’ wedi’i dargedu ar gyfer cymdogaethau o tua 10,000 o bobl.

Mae ein cymuendau gwledig, sydd angen buddsoddiad go iawn, unwaith eto’n cael eu hanghofio gan Lafur.

Welsh farmers need more support not strain. There are better and fairer ways to raise tax.

🚆 Pam y dylai trethdalwyr Cymru dalu am brosiectau rheilffyrdd i Loegr yn unig tra bod ein llinellau ni’n dirywio?

🚆 Why should Welsh taxpayers fund England-only rail projects while ours fall apart?

30 mlynedd ers i fwy nag 8,000 o ddynion a bechgyn Mwslimaidd Bosniac gael eu lladd yn Srebrenica.

Y ffordd orau o dalu parch fyddai gwneud popeth yn ein gallu i atal troseddau yn erbyn dynoliaeth, gan gynnwys yr hil-laddiad yn Gaza.

30 years on since the more than 8,000 Bosniak Muslim men and boys were killed in Srebrenica.

The best way to honour their memories would be to do everything in our power to stop crimes against humanity, including the genocide in Gaza.

Anhrefn San Steffan neithiwr yn profi y dylai’r llywodraeth fod wedi tynnu’r Mesur Lles yn ôl gan bwyllo a mesur yn iawn.

Roedd pobl ag anableddau yn erfyn i gael eu clywed - ond dim ond un AS Llafur Cymru a bleidleisiodd yn erbyn y mesur hwn.

Siomedig.

Last night’s chaos in Parliament proved the Gov should’ve pulled the Welfare Bill and paused.

You can’t build durable policy by making it up as you go.

Disabled people were outside pleading to be heard - but only one Welsh Labour MP voted against. Many will feel disappointed.

Gofynnais i’r Ysgrifennydd Cartref am ddiweddariad o’r gwaith rhwng Llywodraeth Cymru a’r DU ers mis Chwefror pan basiwyd galwad Plaid Cymru yn y Senedd am archwiliad Cymru gyfan o achosion cam-drin plant.

Rhaid cael camau pendant, wedi’u hariannu’n briodol i sicrhau cyfiawnder.

I asked the Home Secretary what concrete steps have been taken between the Welsh and UK govts since the passing of a Plaid Cymru call in the Senedd in February for an all-Wales audit of child abuse cases.

We need concrete, properly funded actions to bring justice to victims.

Mae POB cyngor yng Nghymru wedi pleidleisio i fynnu pwerau i Gymru dros ein hadnoddau naturiol.

Rhaid i Lafur beidio rhwystro ein gofynion rhagor a sicrhau fod cyfoeth Cymru yn aros yng Nghymru 💪💚

ALL 22 Welsh councils have voted to devolve the Crown Estate to Wales

Labour mustn’t block our calls anymore - they must act and give Wales the powers over our natural resources to keep Welsh profits in our communities 💪💚

Mae datblygiad Wylfa wedi cael ei oedi am gyfnod rhy hir.

Eto heddiw, gofynnais am eglurder ynghylch a yw’r Llywodraeth hon yn cefnogi prosiect niwclear newydd yn Wylfa gan fod cwmnïau angen arweinyddiaeth gadarn i fod yn hyderus i fuddsoddi yn ei ddyfodol.
June 10, 2025 at 1:24 PM
The development of Wylfa has been on hold for far too long.

Yet again today, I asked for clarity as to whether this UK Government supports the delivery of a new nuclear project at Wylfa because companies require decisive leadership to be confident to invest in its future.
