I'd develop a nationwide program to get people composting, quit sending tons of good organic matter to landfills, build up the soil on their own property, plant native gardens. A girl can dream.

I was just telling someone that the 36% of registered voters who didn't vote in 2024 were probably mostly young people. Younger candidates may be the key to winning. Young people don't feel represented in our gerontocrary.

I've lived here for 68 years and tornados have always been a threat. They are more frequent now, for sure. I figure we are still in one of the better places to face climate change. You just have to make sure you have a basement, preferably a finished one with an extra bedroom!
