I’m tired and a Portland cartoonist
Been having a lot of depression naps lately and it’s deffo depression but my friend talked about her puppy napping all day and then getting bigger and I’m internalizing that as the depression naps will help get me huge muscles (also I have been dancing 3-6 days a week so)

I made one after making this and it probably took more than 10 minutes, but my version of depression food is like, something that requires mashing while I watch tv, and then I can feel accomplished about cooking? But mostly I watched tv?

Trans Day of Snack is fun and silly and also costs money! If you'd like to donate, you can send $$ to @Tuck-Woodstock (venmo) or PayPal.me/TWoodstock with "Trans Day of Snack" in the subject line, and we'll add it to the fund.

Thanks for reading, excited to hear about your fun snacks on 3/31! :)

More comics for moms and by moms please! Also I have a rant built up about how we only just now are getting a slew of good autobio comics about Motherhood because we only just now started to give moms enough support to make art. There’s so many bleh autobio comics about being a dad.

Incredible work that we’ve made it cool not to support target or Amazon for exactly one day. (dream bigger, y’all)

Pevear & Volokhonsky translations were recommended by my teachers in college (for Dostoyevsky books, the brothers K is really fun if long) and I don’t actually know who translates Bulgakov the best. But I think I read this version (and had fun) and also read it in Russian (and again so much fun)

As a Russian major I can prolly tell you the best translations— but Dostoyevsky is so good. One of my faves, also, if you haven’t read bulgakov, he’s more modern but my favorite Russian author. Heart of a dog maybe might be your thing?

Deffo depends on how good the translator is. Translated poetry to me feels like
a whole new thing.

I don’t get those reels and personally I’m offended as I feel like I should be that target demographic. I’m ready to ignore my responsibilities and cover things in shells.

Now featuring lil Chrissy (from Pecker) a Diet Coke, and my green blanket. Also vourdelac(actually it’s the vourdalak, 2023) and ёжик (explaining to wrylen one of my favorite Russian words)
