Also "Sherlock & Co" @docjwatsonmd.bsky.social for quantity+quality + having to sew a pigs ear with some of the Sir ACD stories; "Petrified" by Dunne/Geraghty; "The Gentleman From Hell" by @maeltopia.bsky.social for fun; "Malevolent" @malevolent.ca for use of listener votes to advance the story

Ross Sutherland (UK) over at Imaginary Advice @imaginaryadvice.bsky.social still puts out incredibly entertaining episodes that challenge what you'd imagine audio drama could achieve (recently ep 109 - a supposed playthrough of "A Christmas Carol" SNES game ; ep 91 as a read-along/pick-a-path book)

Weirdly though if you look at how much Mina does to help stop Dracula he seems to be almost working against his character's rebukes of the modern woman and women with agency.

People were led to believe that, while what was happening seemed distasteful/wrong/etc; that this was for the benefit and "health" of the country. Propaganda ruled (as normal) Most people's mindset is that they are not the villain; but you always have "Right is Might" people out there.

1 million years late to this but now I'd say Sherlock & Co must surely be making progress along these lines?

The idea is fine when the ecosystem is not under pressure from invasive species. Even places like Scotland have issues with non-natives now throttling what was previously fairly wild land.
