Saw this little cutie on my way into the Kansas Biological Survey this morning.

Saw this little cutie on my way into the Kansas Biological Survey this morning.

Today was a perfect day to use controlled burning to help manage our long-term microbe inoculation research plots. This minimizes woody plant establishment, and the grassland plants are adapted to this periodic treatment. Check out the team establishing the a fire break at the plot corner. 🦠🧪🌿👨🚒
