I only saw one David Lynch film, long long ago, and didn't manage to take the ride. But I wanted more, and did the perfect thing. Tonight we watched "The Straight Story," and that is what I will tuck in the back pocket of my memory and say, "Thank you, David Lynch." Perfect.
