I cried too much. I cried tears of inspiration, joy, exhaustion, grief, and hope.

I am still sitting with big questions. How do I reconnect with parts of myself that have gone quiet? Where do I belong, physically and spiritually, in this next chapter? What is next for my work and my community?

But this weekend, on the California coast in Fort Bragg, in an ethereal setting of cliffs, ocean, and fog, on the autumn equinox, I danced more than I have in a long time. Jisel & Abra's wedding was filled with queer love, college friends, and chosen family.

I said “their,” but I also mean “our.” Things are not great in Trinity County right now, AND if California redistricts as a counterstrike against Texas, we’ll likely be in the same district as our neighbors to the east.

LaMalfa is trash and the BBB has hit rural NorCal hard. LaMalfa betrays his constituents constantly. His support for the Trump agenda threatens their jobs, healthcare, communications infrastructure, access to the commons (public lands) and more.

For so many reasons, it's time for him to go.
