@fantasyfaction.bsky.social A friend of mine is a budding author. Already has a book published and a few short stories. He asked me to help proof read vol one of his new series. I feel pretty privileged. I wonder who else here has had the honour/responsibility of proof reading a work, not editing.

@fantasyfaction.bsky.social my first attempt here bear with me. Does anyone remember a short story called A Relic of War by Keith Laumer. I read it in the Robot Warriors anthology (Ace Books) years back but it's a story that has always stayed with me. Clever but sad.
