Here goes my introductory post 😁.
I'm Liylah Cosplay and I've been cosplaying since 2013. In the last couple years I've learned to sew and start to foam craft. I have many hobbies including gaming, sewing, cross stitching... just to name a few. Feel free to say hi.

The printed scales from Inkscape were a success! True success will be fitting in the LEDs some how but I’ll take this small win 😁

Living in Inkscape the past few weeks and making decent progress. Need to add the fold lines and LED diffuser foam placement and it should be good to go to print and cut 😁

So I’m way behind posting here so here is a quick update 😁 base foam armor is almost all done for Guardian Arkveld. I was able to shorten my arm armor successfully and Lunes coat for E33 has bias tape on it… for better or for worse 🤣. Have a great weekend!

I tried it on so I could get the hip armor placement down. It is super cool to finally see it on, it didn't break, and I could move around. 🤩 what a win!

And her foam is all done 😁. Definitely won't call it 💯 until I'm on stage but until the photo shoot this most likely will be the last WIP update for Rose. No worries though I've got a few other cosplays I'm working on so I won't disappear too much 🤣

So on the home stretch of competing with Rose. I got accepted and now it's time to finish the painting and touch ups 😁!

Hip armor has started! Trying out new foam clay which has it's pros and cons. Probably mostly pros for people who are good at this kinda thing 🤣 since I'm not great at all it's tough to just throw it on there and hope it works. No turning back now though, onto the other hip piece 😁

I'm really enjoying the darker purple and part of me still wants it darker 🤣 so maybe another layer or a different darker layer... we will see.

It does feel pretty awesome when the painting starts. I actually feel like progress is being made. Boning for the wings have started. Little haggard looking but just placement for now. 😁

Priming done! I'm pretty proud of the legs and head piece so far. My arms, well I definitely need more foam clay practice. I'm going to trust the process still and now figure out how to work my airbrush... stay tuned!

Some small progress this week 😁. I'm still learning foam clay and with that comes some goofy looking details and snapping my head armor in half multiple times.
Actually happy I did break it because I think it came out nicer this time around. Before and after photo as well as some arm armor details

Worked on my arm armor yesterday 😁 it's nice it's not in 3 separate pieces now and it's a bit more sturdy. Can't wait to paint!
