The stuff they had shown from their reveal stream was enough that I mostly believed their claimed time but yea i am a firm "no vid, no did"

It's funny if they did runs behind the scenes and never posted, it woulda been super exciting when they revealed instead of the most irritating 8hrs of my life

He still didn't have a recorded video of a run for a while after that, leading to me getting possibly the most awkward "world record" at a gdq event because I PB'd but didn't beat his unrecorded time.

It's interesting because I guess if he didn't initially brag about it I wouldn't have a problem

I had stopped running the game for a while because it felt entirely pointless. After months of poking and prodding he eventually caved and did a "big reveal stream" and there were small strat improvements but also a door clip, that's extremely easy to describe in text, that saved ~15 minutes

I'm ok with whoever discovered it reaping the rewards but there's a line where it becomes kinda lame

I once had a guy join a discord, brag he beat my time by 20 minutes, said he couldnt post videos, and said it was mostly small strat improvements + movement.

It's def a much better speedgame than casual so you may enjoy speedrunning it more than you think. Not my fav run, some of the bosses and all the autoscrollers suck, but it's p fun
