Four legal setbacks for the Trump Administration from yesterday.
1. Voice of America: A federal judge issued a restraining order to stop further efforts to silence VOA journalists, pushing back on Trump’s attempts to control U.S.-funded international media.

It’s impossible to overstate how much damage Trump/Elon/Vought/RFKJ are doing to science in America.

We need everyone who can to show up and demand action to save scientific research in this country.

Scientists are trained to question everything which is why fascists always target them first.

DOGE gutted the USDA’s bird flu team—then fired nuclear safety experts. Now they’re scrambling to rehire them.

There’s a difference between using a chisel to refine and a sledgehammer to demolish. Cutting waste is smart—gutting critical roles then backtracking isn’t leadership, it’s reckless.

BREAKING: The USDA, under DOGE orders, has accidentally fired staff working to combat bird flu. It’s now trying to rehire them.

It follows the accidental firing of nuclear safety staff last Friday.

And the accidental firing of FAA’s experienced aviation safety staff.

Incompetence will be deadly.

In a statement, an Agriculture Department spokesperson told NBC News that officials are "working to swiftly rectify the situation."

We have been careful to avoid using the word coup, but it’s time to call it what it is—this is a coup. Trump signed an executive order granting only the attorney general or the president the authority to interpret laws executed by the executive branch.

Don’t bitch about musk or maga.. those words don’t appear on a ballot anywhere.. it’s republicans who are doing this.. it’s the Republican Party. Every last one of them is directly responsible for the inflation, the cuts, the criminal acts and corruption. Don’t let them blame nebulous words.

Trump wants to extend his tax cuts for rich individuals, which would add $4.6T to the deficit.

But he wants to go even further, cutting the corporate tax rate to 15%.

It's yet another absolutely shameless giveaway.
