Also, and this is the thing that AI bros will never understand, I am energized by writing. I do not need the writing to be faster, because the writing is the point.
No, authors aren't burnt out because "writing without AI is slow"

We're burnt out because we're paid dirt so we need day jobs to survive

OK folks, here we go - a starter pack of Irish writers and illustrators I've spotted I my one day on this platform. Did I miss you? Want out? I'm sorry! Shout here and I'll sort it. AND I'll also do a second one for more book community folk who are not writers or illustrators.

Had a handful of homophobic/transphobic messages here today because I’ve created a Starter Pack supporting LGBTQIA+ writers.

Please follow and share this pack to help keep Bluesky the positive place it promises to be.

This explains my lovely enormous duvet coat that my family laugh at me for wearing
Firmly believe Ireland lost its way as a nation when we stopped wearing shawls that doubled as cosy blankets, and would like to propose a return to the wearable bed

Just saw a post saying most published authors stop publishing after 3 books, and while that *can* be used as a "wow, those of us who make it past that are so resilient!"

I think it *should* be used to acknowledge that most *already published* authors get chased out of publishing.

Ha! Yes, same. Then drinks the cold, cold half cup of tea.

Pessimist: cup half empty

Programmer: I've stored the cup's state in a dictionary, it's a float and added a convenience getter with formatting that returns the number with a percentage sign, wrote unit tests and scripted a bot to periodically request the cup's fullness.

Two things to love about the acronym GNU. (1) It stands for GNU's Not Unix (software) and (2) it's a fine excuse to listen to Flander and Swann's 'The Gnu Song' again: www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwJ4...
