In my dream world, mending artists are a thing & everyone values the artistry & craftsmanship that goes into making, repairing and re-making our clothing & other textiles.

This sweet kid is Kahled. He wants a ball. Can we get him a ball? And some food? His sister told us that he used to love playing football with his friends, but many of them have died & he doesn’t have his own ball. We’ve been messaging & video-chatting him & his sis for 15 months and know them well

I do one-on-one sewing lessons through zoom and it just so happens that most of the folks that really love it and have regular lessons with me are neurodivergent and/or queer. I think sewing is often a really good fit with ND folks.
