The Giver was the first book that told me to question authority. I read it very young and it made me hungry for other books like it. It put me on a path of pushing back on a govt that told me to throw away ppl on the edges of society for not conforming to their standards. It stuck.

What are we currently reading? Just finished We’ll Prescribe You A Cat by Syou Ishida. Several short stories set in Japan center around ppl who visit a mysterious clinic looking for care and get unexpectedly prescribed a cat. Delightfully charming and insightful. Bonus if you ❤️ cats 📚💙
