This basically sums up how I feel. Also, by saying Colour ID means nothing anymore, what does that say for DFCs with off-colour backs i.e. MH3 Planeswalkers or Brutal Cathar? Does a tiny pip on the type line saying Tamiyo is green mean more than Kitchen Finks having actual green mana in its cost?

The fundamental difference here is a matter of perspective. Does Commander colour identity define what you're allowed to play? or what you're not allowed to play? If you hold the first perspective, then allowing hybrid cards makes sense. If you hold the second, then allowing hybrid is anathema.
i really, really don't want commander to lean even further into becoming undefined soup. color identity is one of the load bearing pillars of the format.
I understand the wish for greater building options, but I would be fundamentally bothered if your mono-green Elf deck had a white card in it.

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.
