We introduced two NNS pincer ligands to uranium chemistry and could show that when coordinating to UCl4, two of the ligands bind to U, but only via the N. Deprotonating the coordinated amine unexpectedly led to the isolation of ammonium salts of the ligand. Uranium chemistry is full of surprises!

I've been told that there's apparently less competition for the CoG and it's "easier to get", but haven't seen any actual numbers or talked to panel members. I guess for StG there are more people in the system, for CoG some of those have already been made to leave academia.

Oh wow, now my last chance actually wasn't the last chance! Also interesting that starting and consolidator are now overlapping, that could make it tough to decide which one is strategically better 🤔
