Thinking about if Schumer resigned reminds me of when Boehner got sick of everyone giving him shit all the time & he decided to just resign.
And nobody else wanted to be Speaker.
They finally convinced Paul Ryan to do it. But after one term with Trump he decided not to run for reelection.

What just happened? The Republicans weren’t going to budge. This was the longest shutdown in history. SNAP recipients were going without food. Federal weren’t getting paid. Those Democrats got a compromise. They didn’t cave. They got a new bill.

Nope. You don’t know how strongly the conservatives feel about the courts. The left it’s not a big deal. You make it an issue, you’re motivating a lot more conservatives.

The incredible thing about this is there absolutely are people who believe every single word of this. And some of them are in Congress. At least two or three are Republican Senators. And one of those will be the governor of Alabama in about a year and a half.

It’s not going to motivate people to come out to vote for Democrats. But it will motivate people to vote for Republicans. It’s one of the WORST issues to run on. I’m not saying don’t do it. I’m saying don’t run on it.

Every episode had the same plot. Someone confuses something for something else. Funny highjinks ensue. Everyone realizes it was a big misunderstanding.
The end.

Not all of them are against it. Joe Manchin was the only one vehemently against it.

It’s a terrible idea to run on court expansion. It would do more to motivate conservatives to come out to vote than liberals.

I’m a furloughed Fed employee. The biggest betrayal of all was by the voters last November, aided and abetted by the people who have done nothing but attack Democrats, drowning out the party platform and agenda over and over in a swarm of doomerism.
If you can’t be mad at the GOP, be mad at them.

So is higher health insurance costs.
Oh right, that’s all the Democrats fault for wanting hungry children to get food & federal workers to get paid.

See folks, when you don’t vote for the Democratic nominee, you get Cabinet appointees like this put in charge of your air travel.
