So much of Trump’s speech and deeds are anti-democratic. How can this be, after a lifetime of being surrounded by democratic norms in the U.S.?After all, we have our own slogans and shorthand that people repeat that underscore a common value of democracy:

Meaning: global aid, support, supplies and alliances benefit U.S. folks of EVERY party. Nationalism is self-destructive!
