Half of the people in this country are ignorant, ugly, nasty fools. They’ll take us all down with them. 🤦‍♀️🙄😢🤮

Perfectly said. Kirk lived by the sword, and died by the sword. He didn’t believe in empathy so I have zero. But I did light a candle for him.

I have the utmost respect and admiration for you, but I am not mourning the death of that vile, evil person. I have zero fucks left to give. I am so worn out by the last 10 years in this country, and certainly by the last 9 months, I have nothing left. He lived by the sword & died by the sword.

There is none so free as one who has nothing left to lose. Go Colbert!

But not until he’s done incredible damage to our country.

Not so surprising to me. I’m at the lower end of the Baby Boom—1960. Those older than I were out protesting the Vietnam War in the 60’s and early 70’s. The Pill was released in 1960. It was a time of revolution and upheaval. We are used to speaking our minds and carrying signs.

Remember what he said the first time around: he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not lose votes. Chilling but apparently pretty accurate. 😢

I said that exact thing to my husband last night. What troubles me most about these polls is that, regardless of sample size, it tells me that nearly half of Americans are really nasty, cruel people. IDK what we can do about that. I’d be a lot more encouraged if that number were closer to zero. 😢

Well my parents were born in 1921, May they RIP, and my mother especially had vivid memories of folks in her hometown scrounging for jobs and begging for food. She pounded the value of a dollar and a job into me every day of my life.

You are correct but there are still plenty of us who were raised by them and who learned. And it’s in the history books, I’m pretty sure.

It’s time to drain the fucking swamp that Washington DC has become. Burn it all down. If this doesn’t get Democrats & right-thinking Republicans fired up to mobilize and get rid of these assholes once and for all, nothing will. And I fear we are truly lost.
