Alice Wong was so important to so many of us. A huge loss for the disabled community. But I'm comforted by how vocally we seem to be mourning her: what better way to honor a writer than to urge people to read their work.

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

Why did no one warn me that a significant part of aging is looking down at random appendages, finding weird bruises, and having zero memory of how they happened.

This is the only good thing about this garbage heap of a year and I am SO EXCITED.
I was in 8th grade in September 2001. Our district had a return date that was 2 weeks later than usual due to construction delays, and my parents took advantage of post-Labor Day prices to book a quick three day jaunt to the beach.

It’s outrageous that Sec. Kennedy is trying to fire the CDC Director — after only a few weeks on the job — for her commitment to public health & vaccines.
The Sen. HELP Committee must hold a hearing with Kennedy & the CDC Director as soon as possible.
