Something I read today: “I had made mistakes, yes, but I wasn’t a total failure. I had worked too hard…so I never apologized. But by not doing so, I became what I feared. Pride really can kill a man. Actually, it makes him kill himself.”

Something I know of Polynesian history today: February 14, 1779. Death of colonizer Cook.

“Cook, gun empty, signaled for boats to come in. A Hawaiian clubbed him from behind, another brought an iron dagger down toward his neck. Cook staggered into the turf and fell face down.”

Something that I listened to today:
God is an unlimited supply and everyone has access to it. God does not run out of blessings. Someone else receiving a gift from God is not one taken away from you and I want to apply this practice in my daily life, thank you.

Something I read today: “…United States of America suffered a major nonmilitary defeat. It lost no important war, yet it did not survive the Pox. Perhaps it simply lost sight of what it once intended to be, then blundered aimlessly until it exhausted itself.”
