Colorful, whimsy florals cover the page & look as if they are all fighting f to take up the page. The page is full of colors: the petals and background are washes of orchid purples, vivid pinks, ocean blues and teals while the outlines are solid oil pastel outlines that retain the integrity of color. Most of the flowers are outlined in multiple colors, making the colors stand out against the background.

Also not working on something specific leaves room to just play with my #art supplies. If I leave my watercolors next to where I watch tv, I find myself picking them up and just playing with the colors and shapes in new ways.

Mercury retrograde can be really uncomfortable, but I really think that has more to do with a culture that punishes or blames a lack of clarity or connection, despises non-linearity, and individualizes blame, not the transit itself. Mercury retrograde has so much potential.

So annoyed that I feel better at the ocean than resting at home. Is it the dopamine of being at a joyful place, the engagement of my stabilizing muscles in sand and waves, or the connection to nature? If I don’t pin this feeling like a moth, will I ever understand how to find my wellness again?

Being “wrong” in the English language means two things:

-being incorrect, mistaken and:
-being morally bad, evil

We internalize that mistakes = bad person. They don’t.

Open yourself up to being wrong in the latter sense and make space for others to do the same. It’s a strength, not a weakness.

My garden makes me feel so alive, makes me feel like I’m returning home to myself. Yesterday’s harvest of mesclun greens, radishes, herbs, nasturtiums, spring onions, and the tiniest snap pea you’ve ever seen.
Overhead view of one of my beds. Marigolds dominate the middle while lots of shoots and greens leaf out around the bottom. A spread of drying vegetables and herbs. Cilantro, spring onions, lemon balm, basil, mesclun greens, radishes, arugula, pea shoots, and nasturtiums. Green bowl filled with herbs and leaves of all varieties. You can make out the bright pink of the nasturtiums against the greens of the arugula and cilantro.

Bright colors overwhelm the page—purples, pinks, royal blues, and yellows. Textured oil pastel flowers are found and layered on top of a multicolored watercolor wash.
