Something I've been working on in the background this year 🙂
An #Amiga 1200 landed on my repair bench that was stuck in a boot loop. DiagROM showed Paula behaving weird. Found the Paula capacitor loose. Can you then see what I spotted was wrong with it afterwards?
So obvious that I wasn’t even looking for it 🤦

DoohicKEY v2 prototype. Might not look like it, but it has about a dozen new features. It will require a second revision before it is released and there is more firmware still to write for it. But the basics are working.

I built the prototypes for DinKEY 600 and DinKEY 1200 yesterday. Cotton bud for scale.

Took the bin out, panicked my car was gone… then remembered I’d picked Natalie up from work and we walked home. Car’s still in the town car park 😂

I find it fascinating that there is a famous UK tech company whose job application process is so bad, that it has been a running joke in the industry for years. From what people said today, that company still hasn’t changed it.

Hotel trick I learnt this weekend: if you don’t have a bottle opener with you, the arm of the spring loaded mechanism for the door works great.

For any of my US customers here, I will be suspending US shipping in the next couple of weeks. Tariffs will have to be paid at point of shipping and due a small print thing it is looking like it will be a minimum of $80 per package.

I decided to move my main soldering bench to a lower desk. I was regretting starting half an hour in, but now I think I like it.

It took me 6 attempts to pass Microsoft's Captcha on the Office 365 admin site today. Including failing the audio version. I think this proves I'm not human.
