I feel this! I have a nest that placed itself right at the entrance of the walk to the house from the driveway, where it happens my pollinator and kitchen garden are both adjacent to. So I've currently put up a warning sign and roped it off because I can't think of a way to treat it.

I relented and gave them each a small piece (grapefruit isn't toxic but very acidic and may cause gut irritation, so not a recommended treat).
