This isn't quite right - CO's $34M is their 10 year sum. UT's $3.5M is a *one year* sum. If you assume they continue to be funded every year, thats similar funding. Plus there was a $13.5 M fund set to go upon signing a contract with UT.
So Sundance announced they’re leaving the same day the Colorado legislature advanced a $34 million tax package to lure the festival.

Utah’s bid was largely in infrastructure and in-kind but not close to that kind of money. #utpol
