The Extraordinary Life of Frank Derrick Age 81 by J B Morrison. It's a deceptively light hearted read but when I'd finished it I understood totally how crushingly lonely my Dad was after my Mum died.

I love the Bryant and May books. Sad there won't be any more, Christopher Fowler was a fabulous writer.
