Philomath. Trying to figure this place out. Seems like X! for progressives. That is not a compliment. Kerrvert. Host the camp for the finalists in the Kerrville Folk Festival Singer-Songwriter contest.
Pray for us. The murals are still bright, the bookstores still open, and the roses refuse to surrender. Somehow, we endure. Yours in the struggle, A survivor of the brunch front

One suggestion I have heard from songwriters who finally are selected into New Folk after multiple times entering is to have a third party pick the two songs to enter into the contest. An outside ear can provide some insight as to what resonates with others.

Sorry for the delay. I don't sign into Blue Sky very often.

No standard for the production of the songs submitted. Key is that lyrics can be understood.

Entries for 2026 will open in January.

If by “how it’s done” you mean posting made-up stories without checking anything, then yeah, flawless execution.

This isn’t about villains. It’s about motive. China’s playbook emphasizes redirection, erosion, and influence over overt confrontation. The long game is stability by comparison. (7/8)

Trump didn’t need to be a Chinese agent. Just unpredictable. If U.S. leadership becomes unreliable, China doesn’t need war to rise—just patience. (6/8)

The Steele Dossier didn’t need to be true—it needed to be disruptive. Media frenzy, partisan warfare, institutional doubt. That kind of chaos benefits a rising global competitor. (5/8)

Russia had motive. But what if China let Russia take the blame? A perfect misdirect. While Americans argued over foreign interference, PRC quietly gained ground. (4/8)

Trump pulled out of alliances, strained NATO, insulted G7, and praised authoritarians. As the U.S. stepped back, China filled the void—through Belt & Road and soft power. (3/8)

China plays the long game. They think in decades, not cycles. Undermining U.S. influence, seeding mistrust in media and intel, and deepening internal division? That’s strategy, not accident. (2/8)
