I woke up around 3:30 a.m. and initially thought I was hearing unusual engine sounds from a plane or helicopter flying over us, south of San Diego State University. Not sure it was the Cessna. Horrified to learn there was a plane crash.

Having survived the Lahaina fire storm and now watching the LA fire storm, I am convinced we need to retire the "once in a lifetime" characterization. We are living in the time of climate change & insufficient infrastructure investment. This will happen increasingly & we need to meet that reality.
