Yesterday was a glorious day, and I walked over 20k steps! It’s so good to not feel sick! Today I’ve been pretty quiet, resting and editing and napping. We have friends from the UK coming for dinner, very excited to see them! #thewayfaringpath #france #lyon #cloud

I went to mass tonight, at the church on the hill. It reminded me of being on Camino, sitting in an amazing church, listening to mass in a language and religion I don’t understand. My fave bit is when everyone shakes hands with those around them, as not speaking the language is so isolating. #france

Ok so you’re looking at a plate of preserved fruit that we saw at a fancy food hall. Paul Bocuse’s fancy food hall, to be precise. We had a mission to find a hardware store and a charity shop and were half successful. Still coughing etc, very boring. #thewayfaringpath #france #lyon #gastronomic

We spent our last night in #Sweden with our bonus family - and the doggies were there too! Lots of little-dog smooches. After a 12 hour, 1 car, 1 train, 2 planes, 1 bus, and 1 metro mission we are at our fab apartment in #Lyon and the city was amazing to walk through too! #thewayfaringpath #france

In honour of Halloween - last night we were heading home in the wet and dark and the tram that pulled up was so full of people and prams that we chose to wait for the next. A few minutes later this lovely old tram, complete with uniformed ticket guard, pulled up so we got on… (cont. in comments)

Our last Stockholm museum was Nordiska Museet, the #museum of #nordic life. Another excellent place to while away a wet afternoon - the top floor takes you from the 1500s to the present day and every room/space is different and visually arresting. #thewayfaringpath #sweden #sverige #stockholm

We are in #Kiruna, in the far north of #Sweden! Just here for two days, hoping to see the #NorthernLights but it’s looking a bit too cloudy for that. There’s some snow on the ground, and 12-15cm forecast for tomorrow so that’ll be an experience! Here’s a cool bit of tree #thewayfaringpath #Lappland

Today’s adventure: a trip to an historic silk weaving factory. I’ll make a short later. Really interesting and engaging museum (of course!) and great to see all the old looms and machines, many of which are still being used (but sadly not today). #thewayfaringpath #sweden #stockholm #museum #history

Today we went to the #ancient city of #Uppsala - where royalty has been buried for many centuries. These huge mounds are where the very most powerful people were buried. Had a lovely time with family, wandering around the sights. Another stunner of a day! #sweden #sverige #thewayfaringpath #tourist
