worth applying to politics as well. when you're criticizing an action people take "taking the better action next time" is only one of the alternatives people will consider, and worth remembering that "not bothering at all" is another.

Is there a Go Fund Me (or some equivalent) for the families that were the victims of the Wednesday ICE raids on the apartments in Chicago?

A Lancet preprint estimates that if US funding is cut and not replaced, from 2025-2040 there will be 15.2 mil add'l AIDS deaths, 2.2 mil add'l TB deaths, 7.9 mil add'l child deaths from other causes, and 40-55 mil add'l unplanned pregnancies.

This is *not* the time to restrict our channels of communication. Now particularly we need to be able to goad our representatives into displaying some moral leadership.
