Last harvest of 2024. Found some stray winecaps and got the last of the parsley. Rosemary doesn’t usually overwinter very well in Ohio, so I cut most of that, too. 🍄🌿🌱

Any #permaculture folk out here? I have this old locust tree stump that I’d like to use as a base for a hügelkultur bed. I’ve been cutting and dropping the numerous sprouts that keep popping up. Thinking to add a layer of soil, then wood chips. Wondering what plants would do well in this situation🌿🌱

Best of luck. I’ve spent more than a few nights comforting this doggo over the last eight years. We both hate fireworks. At least thunder is of limited duration.

Trying out fermenting red onions. I have major issues with digesting onions and garlic these days. I miss them so much and this may be a possible solution. I’d love to hear from anyone who has fermented onions!
