This is not good for anyone, but you could lower that if you enacted a nationwide Serious Crime Act that included a DV registry. That way the next person would know if they were with an abuser. You could do a lot of good with a SCA, because clearly our individual states aren’t doing enough.

#DomesticViolenceAwareness, and something that #America still has done next to nothing about. Why? Victims of #abuse don’t understand, and neither do their #children. 7 years isn’t enough. It needs to be 10 years @democrats.org, and it should be a nationwide Serious Crime Act to help all victims.

Oh look at what they’re working on that America is still not, and another reason why we need a nationwide Serious Crime Act. Coercive Control is very real, and if you think it doesn’t involve financial, and economic abuse you would be absolutely wrong. When are you going to do something about this?

That’s great, but until it’s enforced it won’t help victims. Far too often PPOs aren’t. I don’t see Michigan on here. TN does the most, & they’re not doing enough. Financial & economic abuse is very real. It leaves victims & their children #homeless. It’s coercive control, & must be taken seriously.

I don’t see Ohio, & even TN who has some of the best DV laws still isn’t doing enough. America needs a nationwide Serious Crime Act. In the meantime the laws must improve to help all victims of abuse, children, pets, include post separation abuse, coercive control, & much more.

I don’t see TX. TX has next to nothing to help victims of #abuse. My #family is a prime example of someone who got almost no help, & that’s why our post separation abuse continues. You should implement a Serious Crime Act. It should be nationwide, but in the meantime set a precedent. Stop waiting.
