almost added it to my novel list cause the stories flow and tie together so seamlessly. for those times when you just need to be hugged by simple, philosophical, melancholic life wisdoms delivered by cats 🥹

I rated The Switch and Persuasion the same, so could be recency bias here, but in any case! some cutting commentary (went "damn, Jane!" a couple times) and the romance 🤌🏻💯!!

a grandma and granddaughter switch!! a romance book, and while I liked the romances, my primary enjoyment came from the two main characters. iirc the book is voted lighthearted on StoryGraph,

rather than this book specifically, the Pentecost and Parker Mystery Series (this being the entry)! historical, fun, queer, and Lilian Pentecost in particular is an intriguing character (not pictured below 😀)
