I think we all know a white girl/boy who has those “preferences,” but couldn’t care less about the culture or the simple humanity of the people they romanticize/fetishize. Going right back to your initial post.

Just to clarify, it can be romantic, and that is the point of the term. Like I said, if you’re confused, do some research.
