Look at these cutie dark-eyed juncos by my feeder. I usually don’t get them by my feeder, but I’ve seen these three for the last few weeks. I haven’t been able to get a picture until now.

Yet again, I am incredibly jealous of Penny, since this was her as I left to go to work in 18° weather. I like my job and dont mind going to work, but….. i want to be laying on the couch in a pile of blankets and pillows!

I’ve been seeing posts for the past few days from various Chicago area birding groups that there have been two snowy owls at the pier by the Montrose Bird Sanctuary. It’s rare to have them this far south so it’s exciting. I ended up with some time this afternoon and went down there. I love them.

We had a nice Halloween! Their costumes turned out great (Emmett is Jandel, someone from
Roblox). Stella went trick or treating with friends, Seth & I went with Emmett and a friend for a bit and then he met up with another friend.
Not good: the ICE helicopters circling the whole time 😡

No Kings protest in Rosemont today! Grateful we got to do this.. and that there was one in the evening, since I worked today.
