Today is World AIDS Day.

AIDS has killed 44 million people globally.

Over the years, we've learned that silence and stigma are huge contributors.

Yet, the State Department sent an email to employees stating “The US Government will not be commemorating World AIDS Day this year.”

Silence = Death

I hate the term "hallucinate" vis a vis false AI outputs. It's another way we're being primed to view it as a mind way before it's proven to be anything but a product. Human hallucinations are not "real" but they're not false in the way that wrong facts are. Anyone read anything good on this theme?

You may recall when gentleman and scholar @imleor.bsky.social wrote about Chicago artists dumping Spotify last month. Fortunately, telling Daniel Ek to go fuck himself appears to be contagious! Solidarity to these musicians, and may their movement continue to grow. chicagoreader.com/music/gossip...

Good guys with guns watch over us
They know what’s best to serve the economy
Good thing they so seldom hurt us
Their aim is true when protecting state property
And you know how us crowds get unruly
When we’re upset, when we’ve got the numbers…

Every time I hear/read someone saying “during Covid” in the past tense, it makes me lose another little bit of faith in humanity.

Kinda rad tbh. I personally consider this a greater & far more necessary & obviously less terrifying service than walking around with guns.

The camo does come off a bit camp in this context though.

Not only am I not interested in this “manosphere” (& pretty sure I would hate it), I’m basically disinterested in the notion of manhood as a whole.

The only criteria that I think is worth considering in judging any man exclusively against other men is how they treat non-men.
i wanna try something. quote this post if you’re a man who hates the manosphere
