An early start out of Delta Colorado had us through Grand Junction....up over Douglas Pass...and headed back into the best of Colorado's Western Slope...Rangely. No better place to sit still for a bit and ride out a global pandemic.

Our 300 mile drive from Rocky Ford to Delta showed us that winter was not quite done with this part of Colorado. Things cleared up a bit....and we found a quiet stretch of BLM land just outside Delta to park for the night. Great place to learn about this place called Delta.

A drive into the high prairies of NE Colorado provides more than just amazing scenery. We spent the night enjoying the quiet of those prairies while learning about everything from the continents Flyways.....to Colorado's role in the Civil War...not to mention "Colorado's War".

An awesome evening amidst the Kansas wheatfields learning about things like....The Geodetic Center of North America...and the cool history of one more small town in the heart of the country...
