Has mindfulness become a way of thinking or living for you? Or is it both? Incorporating it into thinking means that throughout your day you are focusing on the present moment. If it has become a way of life you make time to sit & breathe, aware of impermanence. You live in gratefulness. Reflect.

Are you mindful of plants, like this Staghorn fern, that create their own ecosystem? They collect water from their own debris and decompose to make nutrients and a microhabitat for other creatures like spiders, insects and frogs.

We all want to be happy but we have a few things we do to stifle our happiness. We rush and we cling. Focus on paying attention to daily activities, showering, dishes. When frustrated we ruminate instead of breathing or walking the emotion away. Well-being is a sense of contentment & connection.

The frustrations that come with dealing with inadequate customer service at businesses, over the phone, online navigation or other technology glitches with phones, laptops, TV's are part of life now. Many find time spent trying to navigate this stuff- is maddening. BREATHE IN & OUT. Look at glitter😂

Mindfulness can help us appreciate the beauty of shadows, echoing Tanizaki’s In Praise of Shadows, which values subtlety, darkness, Japanese aesthetics. It means consciously observing shadows & darkness as sources of depth &mystery—much like exploring a “shadow self,” but in an aesthetic way.

To mindfully select a partner first reflect on your own values. What are the characteristics and behaviors you expect in another person? What actions have you witnessed (perhaps the way they treat or speak to family or help the vulnerable).
Take time before more serious steps are taken; go slowly.

Mindful of the profound stress during the holidays, think about what you can do to uplift people. If you can, when you are in a drive through or waiting in line, pay it forward or give your change to the next purchase. Smile, hold a door, give something to that you were going to toss. Be 😇🎅🏽

Do my actions, choices and words align with my intentions and goals? If we are truly being mindful in each moment what we create will be distinct. If there is no attention paid to a plan the result is more like a painters wiping rag instead of a constructed painting. We are in charge of outcomes.⛓️‍💥🖌️🖼️

Our outer life, even our housekeeping, reflects our inner order. A mindful awareness of order is active on every level of creation. When there is order there is flow and tranquility. There is also freedom in order. When you order your surroundings your mind and body feel lighter.

Some mindfulness meditation includes cardinal directions as a mental anchor or reflecting upon the spiritual symbolism of a loved one being near. It is helpful to call upon the energy of our deceased loved ones. They can bring solutions, comfort and reflection.

Mindfulness practice can lead to a profound sense of interconnectedness.🛐📿🙏🏽 Thanksgiving day is a time when we gather with those we love to enjoy their presence as we share special meal.🦃Today, bring awareness to those who no longer sit with us by remembering their smiles, humor or other memories💕

We all know someone or we are that person who has recently lost a loved one. As Thanksgiving approaches be mindful of the need to share memories of the ones forever etched in hearts yet not seated at the table. A few stories can bring mindful reflections bringing those lost to life with smiles.

I am mindfully aware of the energy that surrounds my being enabling different perspectives and changes. When I allow uncomfortable energy into my orbit it can cause chaos and eliminate peace.

People can politely and mindfully express their distastes; that's personal awareness. They may use the phrase "that's not my cup of tea." It's not judgemental if one is discussing personal tastes. However if you are referring to a person, depending on your tone, it can be condescending. Be kind.

Be aware of the different ways people experience joy. Mindfully withhold judgement. We can be tested when something is not our thing. Will you cringe or smile? Think of the energy to bring happiness and the feeling that comes from non-judgement.

Looking at last night's waxing crescent moon with Venus to the left juxtaposed with earthly traffic I was mindful of peace above and chaos below. Mindful of the need to cultivate inner peace and how looking upward centers the human spirit- breathe.

Be mindful of each moment, begin the day aware of what is good in your life. Challenges are inevitable so focus on how well you are handling them; doing your best. The past is OVER; stay present and don't catastrophize about tomorrow. Like rays of sunshine everything is impermanent, enjoy the moment

Mindfully examine your relationships. The people in your life strongly influence your mood and self-esteem. Assess them honestly: Do your closest relationships bring more calm and joy than stress? What do you want more of, and where are your boundaries for what you will allow? Get healthy.

Mindful practice is a tool to live a peaceful life. Some think of a peaceful existence as boring. Nothing is further from the truth. Peace is when there is no feeling of lack. Boring is when one thinks, nothing is happening, restlessness exists that makes one feel they want more. Choose gratitude.

Mindful practice teaches us to breathe, not to reject a feeling but to understand what emotion is felt, to pause to understand why we feel it to build healthy emotional regulation. Always, if something happens to set us off, we first need a mindful pause- before deciding how to manage the situation

Aristotle once said,"We are what we repeatedly do."
Kids who are on the computer more than outside; are super gamers but maybe not so athletic. Couples who enjoy each other's company, 💑 build better relationships. Habits=energy going toward what we crave/love. Practice Mindfulness 4 well-being 🧘🏽‍♀️

Mindfully consider the inspiration that comes from being enthusiastic. Humans do not live in boredom when they are awake to the amazing things they can see and do. Enthusiasm is always available to us and it lifts our energy and all those who are around us. Smile, help willingly. 🌠⭐💫
