The #USD Index dropped a lot since #Trump became president. A significantly weaker dollar is not good for the #UnitedStates. While it can cause some exports to be cheaper it causes #inflation that hits #US consumers. The US #economy is a consumption economy.

Whether you see this as good or bad depends on your views -- cheaper #USD is good for exports but bad for imports/consumers (USD buys less) and as store of wealth.

Total #construction spending for #manufacturing in the #UnitedStates is all the way down since #Trump came into office in 2025. This show how much money is being spent to bolster industrial capacity in the United States but things are slowing down due to economic uncertainty and tarrifs.
