Burning Bright by Tracy Chevalier, one of my favourite authors.

This one is on my shelf, but I've yet to dive in.

Just set out on this adventure, and it's a promising start. The cover called to me, and it's an author I so often enjoy.

In common with all the other books by Anne Tyler that I've read, I'm thoroughly enjoying The Beginner's Goodbye. Moving, enthralling, and thought-provoking, I feel as though I've met Aaron and Dorothy personally. They are becoming friends and I will miss them.

The Frozen People by Elly Griffiths. Not totally sure about it at the moment, to be honest, but I'm sticking with it.

Reading the 1st one on the bus. On the last few chapters, now, and really enjoying it 🙂

Only a few chapters into Death in the Dordogne but enjoying it so far. It feels like a cheeky little trip to France in term time 🙂

About to start The Kellerby Code. Looking forward to it.

You'll have a great time! Since Lockdown, I've only travelled by train and slow-travelled my way to various European destinations. It's been fabulous - meeting people, speaking/hearing languages, experiencing cultures, appreciating the geography of the places. So much better 🙂

The Yellow Dog by Georges Simenon. I always enjoy a Maigret story, and it's just the thing after my recent holiday in France.

I loved this as an audio book.

Learning to Swim by Clare Chambers. It's completely drawn me in. So many details in those early chapters that resonate. I find myself making predictions and, in a way, I'm desperate to know whether I'm right. On the other hand, I want to savour every step of the journey because the writing is a joy.

I haven't read that, so I'll take a look. Jogging along, with the twists and turns you'd expect in the journey we're on, but basically okay, thanks. Glad school's out for two weeks - I'm ready for the break! I hope all is well with you and yours.

Only a few chapters in, but The Spirit Engineer by A. J. West has got me intrigued and a little bit spooked.
