I'll send a signed example to a random someone reposting this 😮

You want that lovely Tom Roberts art. Plus, it has words inside!

Like many Black parents, my mother literally told us, "You'll have to work twice as hard to get half as far."
Because it talks about how Black workers are scrutinized more - that is "seen more" and that leads to more terminations because obviously if people are studying you're every move they're going to catch your mistakes more too. And how being seen is a double edge sword for Black people.
Black Workers Really Do Need to Be Twice as Good
African American employees tend to receive more scrutiny from their bosses than their white colleagues, meaning that small mistakes are more likely to be caught, which over time leads to worse perform...

Babel was good, but not for me, I think. I'm starting this short story collection by Cassandra Khaw on this frigid, snowy morning in Colorado. 💙📚 #booksky

I just got published in this LIS textbook. If you happen to work at a college or university that has an LIS program, please consider getting it for your professional collection. It is a great resource for nontraditional jobs for people with LIS degrees. 📚💙 #booksky

I am really trying to get into BlueSky but Threads has my heart. I feel like the learning curve for this app is a bit higher. I am going to keep trying though. Also, this is the last book I will read this year which will bring my yearly total read to 97. (Also the year I graduated H.S.) 💙📚 #BookSky

I finished The God of Lost Words by @ajhackwith.bsky.social . The knowledge that there are others in this huge world that feel the absolute imperative to protect books, encourage writers, and revel in the divinity that is the written word is a joy. Highly recommend this series. #booksky 💙📚

I will finish this today. But, it's so good and then it will be over... #booksky problems.

Started this lovely yesterday. Third in the series. Highly recommend. #booksky

I have been bingeing @ajhackwith.bsky.social 's Hell's Library series. Starting the third one after work. For anyone that loves books, reveres stories, and feels that story-telling in all it's forms is some of the most important art, I recommend this series whole-heartedly. 💙📚

On to the second book in the Hell's Library series. I am really enjoying the characters, story, and writing style.

Now that it seems everyone is talking about Bluesky, guess I will post here a bit more. It just seemed...rural and I liked that. Not big city feels like that horrible other app. Threads is still my home sweet home, but let's see what this little suburb feels like.

Finished the first one overnight, and I started the second one this morning. Highly recommend.
