Biden left these lying morons with the strongest economy in the world and they tanked it in two months. Today the stock market is nearing capitulation.

They’re going through people’s personal data! This is horrifying. And no, they haven’t come up with “enormous amounts of fraud, waste, and abuse”. They’re lying. It takes ages to qualify for Social Security benefits. People wait years and too many are left without support when they qualify.

Fujisan at sunset this evening. I’ve been in Japan 5 years this month. It’s odd to think it’s been that long since I’ve been in the States at all. And sometimes I’m envious of those who stay in one place and all that entails, but I’m grateful for this transient life too.

Yokohama, Japan at night is gorgeous. This is the Nippon Maru, a sail ship built in 1930 to train cadets. I usually try to walk by her instead of taking a closer train.

Cropped to protect their name, I spotted this on Facebook yesterday. I don’t really have words to describe how sick our society is that it took vigil anti-justice to make health insurance corporations approve medications and procedures.
We can’t continue to have majority for-profit healthcare.

I thought I’d bring back a memory for a lot of you. Thanksgiving in a military galley/mess hall. I’m a day ahead and far from home, but having a slice of pumpkin pie makes it better. Thank you to every mess cook, every CS, and everyone who works in food today. You are our superheroes.

Little tidbits about me. My husband and I live near a train line close to Tokyo. Before that we were stationed in Okinawa, and I haven’t been back to the States since before Covid began.
Pictures here are of a carriage ride in Yokohama, and Skytree in Tokyo.

Born in Okinawa, Japan less than two months before Covid lockdowns, Hattie comes home with us and picks her favorite person, her father. I think the shoelaces persuaded her.

It’s not Caturday but I could use a political breather. This is my Hattie; house Domovoi, furry creature extraordinaire, destroyer of chairs, purrveyor of fine boxes, and extraordinarily picky eater. She likes trees with sparkly lights, her father, playing fetch, and me if her father isn’t around.

Women of color sadly, and other qualified women in power. These two are good, smart, qualified, they could have lead us into a better country. My heart broke so hard when I saw this picture.
