We’re a directory of radical, politicized providers across many lineages - therapists, bodyworkers, coaches, peer support, and more.

If you’re looking for liberatory care, follow us.

That’s why LWN exists not as a perfect solution, but as a collective refusal. A space where care doesn’t rely on cops, pathology, or silence. Where rage, grief, numbness, and shutdown aren’t treated as problems to fix, but truths to honor.

If your therapist centers compliance over consent, neutrality over justice, or diagnosis over your lived experience, they might not be supporting your healing.

A quick note from me (Pat) 💛, this new site has been a long time coming. We listened to your feedback, learned from the bumps in the road, and poured a lot of love into making the directory more accessible, more community-rooted, and more aligned with the vision we hold together.

Join us for a 2 hour thought provoking workshop and discussion designed to explore how clinicians understand class consciousness in therapeutic spaces and within mental health systems.

We will examine how class shows up in therapy - with clients, in supervision, and within ourselves.

You are not unwell for feeling everything. You are not disordered for raging, grieving, or refusing to comply.

Mental health should never be used to gaslight people into obedience. ❌

As radical mental health workers at LWN we reject carceral psychology that labels resistance as pathology.

We stand with LA protestors shutting down ICE raids. 🔥 We stand with Madleen. 🇵🇸 We stand with every person who’s been told they’re “too much” for daring to feel in a fascist world. ✊🏾

LWN stands in deep solidarity with our Indigenous kin- especially those who are Two-Spirit, queer, and trans. Your lives matter. Your safety matters. Your liberation is tied to ours - the collective. 🫀

🦋As radical providers we know it is vital that we create radical spaces to discuss our clients that are not based in pathologizing them, hence the creation of this group. This will be a closed group in order to build rapport and community.

Healers Are Human 💛 We hold space for others, but who holds space for us? We need spaces where we don’t have to be “strong.” Where we can be witnessed in our full humanity - raw, unraveling, uncertain, and still worthy of care.

We need more representation for various lived experiences of inclusive queerness. Safe hopeful spaces are needed for queer existence, identities, voices, and narratives.

These texts challenge psychiatry, uplift community wisdom, and offer frameworks rooted in disability justice, abolition, and decolonial practice.

This list isn’t exhaustive, but it’s a place to begin or come back to. To disrupt, remember, and rebuild.

It’s for the community care workers, the therapists trying to divest from harmful training, the folks doing harm reduction on the ground, the survivors who know, and the people trying to figure out where their role fits in all this.

At the LWN, we don’t separate healing from history. We know mental health doesn’t exist in a vacuum - it exists in systems: carceral, colonial, white supremacist, ableist systems.

This reading list is for those of you unlearning the lie that healing has to come from a license.

We need more representation for various lived experiences of inclusive queerness. At Queer Creative Cosmos we engage with playfulness to make way for new characters, clues, metaphors, maps, and more, which celebrate the entire queer spectrum, with fun yet mindful formats.
