There is a link between hyper-precorious work and environmental degradation. There is also a question if the transition to green economy a just transition or now? Both are important questions at the heart of understanding the role of climate change and workers vulnerability.

The linkage between climate change and the blue economy also needs to be explored. Environmental degradation has a direct impact on worker vulnerability; going out further and having to be out longer, leading to the lack of food/water, which then leads to health deterioration of fishery workers.

Due to a disrupted ecosystem that impacts the cycle of water in the Ton Le Sab, fish become smaller, producing a lesser yield. Most of the impact is the result of the ecological impact from the Mekong Dam. But how does this ecological change impact migration?

Cambodia, since ancient times, has been hydrologist, controlling and living by the water. Fish is the main source of protein for Cambodians. Slow climate is much more complex. As a result, fish yield goes down, and the tools to catch fish become more damaging to the environment.
