I think I want to live somewhere quiet. Somewhere in the city still, but quiet. I want silence, total silence, for awhile at least. I've learned a lot this year, but I think I learned most that: (1) I'm not as forgiving as Jesus Christ, and (2) I'm enough, this is enough, more than enough.

I've done calligraphy, martial arts, zen, ecstatic dance, and lots of reading. I started an Adorno reading group with my friend Ozzie and then did nothing with it. I met the nun who received dharma transmission for the Sunim lineage. I cut my hair short, but it's grown out now.

It snowed in Chicago a week ago, and I bought a nice down coat. I've never lived anywhere where it snows before. I'm afraid of people again, but without the symptom this time. I'm well on my way to becoming a successful engineer, or at least I think so. I work in bioinformatics now
