Two teenagers who were accused of attempting to rape a schoolgirl in Ballymena, County Antrim, in June are to have the charges withdrawn, the Public Prosecution Service has said.

The undersea cables being discussed here are the private property of tech multinationals. Maybe they should be paying for the defence of their property instead of expecting Irish taxpayers to pony up.
When it comes to modern war, Ireland is a high-value target: its waters on the western fringe of Europe contain three-quarters of all undersea cables in the northern hemisphere. Despite this, is unprotected and unprepared.

After winning the league last year, Shels had an awards night in a Dublin hotel. Afterwards a few of us retired to the bar. By pure coincidence, a club legend from the 60s was there with his family. In 1967 he scored the fastest hat-trick ever recorded in senior football.
