Hi Jonny, happy to provide the last page of my second statement in which I say “it is clear I have upset a lot of people, I am so sorry” and that “at this point, I don’t know what else I need to do in order to express that more clearly”. Advice on how I can make that appear more genuine welcomed.
Since Yasmin and others spoke out in 2021, I decided it was best I step back from the ace community altogether in order to carry out anti-racism work offline, in private. Finally, I did not wish to air my private life as publicly as this, but my ex-partner has repeatedly alluded to traumatic experiences encountered during our two-year relationship. I am deeply upset they feel that way, but I want to make it clear that I believed it to be a loving and caring relationship. Our family and friends saw it that way too. Like every relationship, we had our ups and downs, but it saddens me and my family that they now feel traumatised from our time together. It is clear I have upset a lot of people, I am so sorry. At this point, I don't know what else I need to do in order to express that more clearly.
